What happened
Ukrainian company NODRICS has developed MAT1LDA, an 8×8 amphibious logistics unmanned ground vehicle integrated into Tencore’s ground robotic systems ecosystem. The gasoline-powered platform uses side pontoons to cross water obstacles, marshy terrain and difficult ground without prior preparation. Its open frame can carry cargo containers or evacuation stretchers. Tencore reports a payload capacity of up to 500 kg on land and 400 kg afloat, with ranges of up to 160 km on land and 50 km on water.
Why it matters
MAT1LDA adds amphibious logistics and evacuation to Tencore’s reported four-class ecosystem of ground robotic platforms, extending its intended use beyond ordinary land transport to water crossings and marshy terrain. Tencore says common platforms and unified auxiliary equipment are intended to simplify operation, maintenance and the integration of mission equipment. One module, the AI KIT, is designed to let a vehicle continue its route or return after losing contact with its operator.
