What happened
Ukrainian UGV developer DevDroid and Norwegian electronics manufacturer Inission Norge AS signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop and produce remote-control systems for unmanned ground vehicles for Ukraine’s defense forces. The cooperation combines DevDroid’s UGV and control-system expertise with Inission’s electronics manufacturing, industrialization and serial-production capabilities. The partners also identified potential future production for Norway and other Scandinavian markets.
Why it matters
The agreement connects a Ukrainian UGV developer with a Norwegian manufacturer experienced in radio-frequency components, complex printed circuit boards, industrialization and serial production. That could create a route to industrial-scale production of Ukrainian remote-control systems beyond DevDroid’s existing capabilities. DevDroid’s Droid Box system is already used in the combat zone, giving the planned cooperation an operational context, although the memorandum remains a pre-production arrangement.
