What happened
Ukrainian drone and software developer Buntar Aerospace has established an advisory board and appointed Marat Utyushev as its first member. Utyushev co-founded the Aerorozvidka organization and military unit A2724, where the Delta situational-awareness system originated, and later led the Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies. Buntar Aerospace says the board will help set strategic priorities, advance technology development and support international expansion. The company plans to announce additional members later.
Why it matters
Utyushev brings experience with Delta and a detailed understanding of military requirements to a company combining uncrewed platforms with software. Buntar Aerospace is developing the Buntar-3 reconnaissance drone and Buntar Copilot, an AI software product designed to help drone operators make decisions in combat. The appointment follows the company’s announcement that it raised $16 million to accelerate product development, expand production capacity and strengthen its team, putting the new governance step in the context of its broader scaling plans.
